Emotional upheaval frequently accompanies a diagnosis of epilepsy.  Our social workers provides short-term counseling to both individuals and their families.

Parent Family Networks
T
he Epilepsy Foundation hosts special support groups for families in both Rochester & Syracuse.  Our Parent Family Networks are designed to give adults time to talk with one another regarding the challenges of having a diagnosis of epilepsy in the family, while the children and teens enjoy age-appropriate activities.  Visit Events for dates, times, and locations

STRESSpite
STRESSpite offers families the opportunity to create their own respite in order to relieve some of the daily stresses of caring for a child with special needs certified as eligible by Medicaid and/or OMRDD.

Family Reimbursement Program
Offers financial reimbursement for goods or services to families for a one-time purchase or to assist them in meeting on-going needs for a child with epilepsy and/or other developmental disabilities certified as eligible by Medicaid and/or OMRDD.
