TITLE:  Residence Manager

HOURS:  Full-time.  Program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience with developmentally disabled, preferred.  Demonstrated experience with supervision, problem-solving, communication, time management, organization and accounting.  Flexible with job duties and schedule.  Valid NYS Driver's License required.

DESCRIPTION:  Responsible for day-to-day operation of ten bed IRA and the supervision of all staff.  Works with the Director of Residential Services to ensure provision of residential habilitation services to all IRA residents and compliance with all OMRDD regulations.

CLOSING DATE:  February 15, 2010 

 

TITLE:   Receptionist/Secretary

HOURS:  8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:  Associate Degree in the administrative assistant field with a minimum of 1 year experience or a High School Diploma or equivalency with a minimum of 2 years experience.  Customer service skills and the ability to deal with the public on the phone and in person are needed.  Clerical, office skills, excellent organizational skills and computer skills are required.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team setting.  This position requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

DESCRIPTION:  Responsible for answering all incoming calls, greeting visitors, and directing visitors/clients/volunteers to the appropriate staff person.  Responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing mail, including bulk mailings and faxes.  Log in all incoming monies.  Processes credit card payments.  Responsible for maintaining the agency's fundraising database, including updating records, entering in new information, and general database maintenance.  Provides clerical support to all staff, especially to Development, Communications and Education through letters, reports, copying, scanning and faxing.  Must be able to lift and carry 15-20 lbs.  Must be able to handle various tasks at one time while being able to pay attention to detail.

TITLE:   Residential Support Specialist - Supervised IRA

HOURS:  Full time/Part time/Relief/Flexible hours.  Schedule to be discussed at interview.

QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or equivalency required with 1 year experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities strongly preferred.  A valid NYS Driver's License and minimum age of 21 is required.

DESCRIPTION:  Provide, assist and deliver habilitation supports and services that promote choice to the individuals served by EF in achieving our agency mission including, but not limited to:

  • Creating opportunities for, and encouraging individuals to develop skills in recreation/leisure/hobbies, home management, social/interpersonal and other areas while developing relationships in the community.
  • Assisting in consumer personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, care for consumer belongings, room cleaning, and other daily living skills.
  • Completing appropriate documentation as required by and in accordance with regulations and agency policies and procedures.
  • Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts vary based on program and location.

CLOSING DATE:  Ongoing to create pool of applicants to fill vacancies as they become open.
