TITLE: Medical Liaison
HOURS: Full time, variable hours and weekends. Program operates 24/7 days a week, including holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in Human Services or related field with at least 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. LPN licensure preferred. Must possess problem solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Good oral and written communication skills are essential. Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting. Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
DESCRIPTION:
* Provides assistance to all IRA participants on medical issues and medication administration.
* Assists RN with the training of residents on medical related issues.
* Assists residents with scheduling and attending medical/mental health appointments or notify other staff of need.
* Must become medical certified and maintain annual recertification.
* Attends all trainings as mandated or as directed by supervisors.
* When necessary perform duties of a Residential Support Specialist such as, residential habilitation, protective oversight, and assisting consumers maintain personal hygiene and performing daily living skills.
CLOSING DATE: August 3, 2010 TITLE: Director of Quality Assurance/Compliance Officer HOURS: Full time, must be flexible to meet the needs of the agency QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field. Miniumum of 5 years experience in a comparable management level position within developmental disabilities field. Knowledge and experience in directing quality assurance and compliance activities. Excellent written and verbal skills. Proficiency in computer applications. DESCRIPTION: CLOSING DATE: July 21, 2010 TITLE: Residential Support Specialist - Supervised IRA HOURS: Full time/Part time/Relief/Flexible hours. Schedule to be discussed at interview. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalency required with 1 year experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities strongly preferred. A valid NYS Driver's License and minimum age of 21 is required. DESCRIPTION: Provide, assist and deliver habilitation supports and services that promote choice to the individuals served by EF in achieving our agency mission including, but not limited to: CLOSING DATE: Ongoing to create pool of applicants to fill vacancies as they become open. * Audits and monitors all departments in the Agency for compliance with OMRDD, DOH and other regulatory agencies.
* Assures compliance with Medicaid exclusion list.
* Maintains corporate compliance policies and procedures.
* Design and implement the Agency Incident Management System.
* Acts as chairperson of Incident Review Committee.
* Audits and monitors licensure of licensed professionals.
* Resolve deficiencies and propose recommendations.
